blixity is an experiment in culture-crunching: a chronicle of curious objects, events, and people that constitute “contemporary culture” in increasingly globalized markets and mindsets.
blixity is interested in the tangled webs of culture (ways of living), media (means of representation), and capital (assignments of value). we blog about the aesthetics of politics and the politics of aesthetics, and hope that by raising an issue and opening a discussion, we might generate fresh ways of seeing and more equitable ways of interacting.
we work mainly from New York City but strive to represent multiple, even contradictory, points of view. if you would like to contribute, comment, or contact us, please email blixity [at] gmail [dot] com.
thank you, enjoy the read, and visit often!
